All Better--and Why I haven't written.

My car has been fixed up for about a week now. I do agree with the person who posted a comment on my previous post that Landrovers aren't meant for the suburbs. I suppose my revenge is that I did report the accident to my insurance company, and because I went to the shop they have a sort of contract with my payment was reduced from the $250 deductable down to $150. My other revenge is that I work out of a home office and spend much less money on gasoline than that SUV owner does when she fills up. Yes, I'm a tree hugging conservationist.

So, why haven't I written lately?

Thanks for asking! I've been blessedly busy. I was hired to help get some radio interviews for a couple of clients, while working to book even more radio interviews for yet another. And, one of these clients asked me to help with a media training session--or help them teach their volunteers how to talk to the media. It's nice work.

And, so, I'm busy.

But, it's sort of like a flood after a drought. The cracks are evident in the prairie. Fresh cash will "green" things up, but the resevoir is still way below my comfort level. Conservation is still the name of the game.

I suppose this is normal for a person who has worked for herself, or had her own busisness for just about two years now. And, I hear from friends who are in much worse shape than I am. Some have debilitating health problems, while others have debilitating relatonships at home, or within a job that they despise. At least I'm doing stuff that I like and am becoming known for.

Well, tomorrow I work on my part time every other weekend job. And, I hope to find some time to take another walk in the woods and have some quiet time before my big two-day media training session.
