So Long Favorite TV Shows

NBC TV's "Will and Grace" bids us adieu. I didn't mean to become a regular viewer, but I did.
I like Karen Walkers sympathetic character. Poor Rich Girl.
Debra Messing as Grace was fun to watch because she was holding back her laughter most of the time. "Will and Grace" wasn't my most favorite show. But, I did tune in more than I ever thought I would.

I enjoyed the fast paced writing of "West Wing." The fantasy of being in the middle of the decision making process, and the debate of government, officials. Well, the nobility was nice to watch. There was a lot of nobility to the show. Washington, DC is often a by the numbers town--meaning dollars and cents. The bureaucrats that are often belittled, and government workers/employees that are often maligned by TV keep the government running despite the worst efforts of political appointees. We didn't experience the government employee point of view, rather the appointee point of view on the West Wing TV series. It was nice to live in the fantasy world of our elected officials actually knowing how to get the trains running, and understanding how the process works. Few people in DC know how the process works. When they blame it on Congress, well, oversight does tend to slow things down. Congress has more oversight than you'll ever know. So nice, it was, for the past 7 years for that oversight to be glossed over for the sexual tensions amongst Executive staff, and members of the first family. I won't even go into the AA ;meetings, and battles with addiction, and work-aholic tendencies that were displayed. At least that part was accurate. People work awful hard in the Federal government, and the executive branch is a 24/7 proposition.

Commander-And-Chief, I hardly knew you. But, I was tickled to see a woman kick some butt, and command respect, even an independent President that Mackenzie Allen was....amongst the military brass. The demonic style of Donald Sutherland as her arche rival was brilliant and very entertaining. I'm sorry this series didn't have much legs.

One more TV show---I watch a lot of it---so, I'll have more to chat about with you soon!
24. Kiefer Sutherland is an amazing actor. I too want to be "Jack Bauer." I want to be the guy with the never-die cell phone/wireless connection, who can load more bullets in a chamber without anybody hearing the metalic clicks, who can whisper quietly into a phone but still not be heard by the guys he's gonna snatch, kill, knock-out or rescue.
I want to be able to keep my eyes open, and be very productive without any sleep at all and still be a master marksmen while exhausted.

Share with me your thoughts, and I'll be glad to tell you more about my viewing habits.
