I didn't know that I was doing this.
I didn't know that by watching DVDs the better part of yesterday that I was avoiding two stories that have been rumbling around the "blogosphere:"
Gays and Lesbian participation at the White House Easter Egg Roll
Suicide bomber targets falafel shop in Tel Aviv.
It wasn't my intention to avoid the news at large. I was just busy helping my husband catch up on stuff, and avoided my own home office.
But, I did successfully avoid engaging my brain in an exercise that I earn a living doing: trying to find some pattern of logic in the news cycle. What a perverse choice--figure out how to fit another story in on the discussion of American sexuality, or the unending terrorism that anti-Israel factions have sworn an oath to conduct.
It certainly would be a lot easier to write about highdefinition DVD's, High-Def DVD players and TV sets, the virtues of fine tuning one's home theatre's audio system. But, how stupid and heartless would this blogger seem to be if I didn't acknowledge the top news of the day?
This harkens back to my first post. I repeat my question. What should make my blog about? What could I possibly add to the chatter that already exists out there? Would anybody really care?
